.....how did you get yours?

We are HAIRYMON.

This came about as at home I affectionatly called them hairy monsters when they got under my feet etc and it just stuck. Felt only right to apply to KC and have this as our affix. Did not let Howson know until it was granted so it was a surprise for him.

In Oz they are prefix's. I did a google for anything scottish and saw Brollachan as being a highland spirit. Thought this was apt. Not until after it was approved did I find out that it was a malevolent spirit. Apparently it is invisible except for it's eyes and its teeth.

Claonaiglen came into being because Claonaig is Alans birthplace. Claonaig is on the east side of the Kintyre peninsula and it is situated in Claonaig Glen so we dropped a G and ran the two names together. People find it quite hard to pronounce but the name has silent A's so you pronounce it Cloniglen.

Hamilton Hill was my late scottish husbands middle names, they give you surnames for middle names in Scotland. All I have done is put the two together Hamiltonhill.

we wanted something local to the area, Graizelound is a village I used to drive thru when I took my first Deerhound to obediance classes (and there's another story lol)and I always thought it was a cool-sounding name....brings to mind graceful hound

it was actually our third choice, but I'm gettin used to it
