After a weeks worth of late night reading, very short dog walks and giving primary first aid surveys to my wife and anyone who would stay still for long enough, I've passed my Casualty Care certficate.

So now I can go give morphine to people out on the hills. And before anyone asks ... you have to have a medical requirement before I can give it

Well done;so you've not completely wasted time with fast bikes and hairy dogs then...
Are you a Ranger or Mountain Rescue etc then CiCoch?

well done! My sister is studying midwifery (sp?) and is finding the exams hard, though she got a fantastic 90% on her last exam

Yeah, that can and does happen. But I'd rather that than have to go looking for someone who isn't even there, or even worse, is there but is seriously injured.

True. I had visions of you on the hill with your lamp saying "what no torch,now this is a torch" etc.
Sorry I forget there is a serious side to the job,not ever having been there...
