Are lapwings red-listed now? We used to have flocks of them on the next farm but one, then for years we didn't have any. They're making a comeback this year, which is lovely.

Yep unfortunaly they are red listed,
we used to see them everywere when we was kids, but in recent years
they've vanished, the ones yesterday are the second pair ive seen
in the last 10 years, it does look like there making a come back, but slowly.

Great pics - what camera did you use? I love lapwings - luckily we have a lot down here

Its a canon 450D, i need a decent lens for it though,
but there quite expencive.

I also want new lens for my canon, saw one I liked but the £2500.00 price tag put me off.

What lens did you uise for those cracking shots

Its a canon 70-200mm usm II.

The L lenses are a tad expencive, have a look at this site though,
as they do - do second hand ones, although still not cheap
there a lot cheaper than buying brand new lol.
