Tonight Brice attended a ringcraft class for the second time in his life (first time was when he was a pup).

He went totally off showing after being attacked by another dog (not at a show) and I have never felt the need to try him again. But my Brittany is showing a fair bit and I am attending a show to give an entry to an aspiring judge, then realised how far away the venue was and saw they had a DH class. So Brice is entered too - if he is relaxed he may enter the ring (if he is unhappy he most certainly won't) and I thought he should see if he remembered the show lark.

Although he is well past being a pup he ended up in a group of puppies which was fine as he loved playing with the dobes and pointer babies. A totally stressfree evening and he moved like a dream - the 'judge' could not see why he was there as he was super!

Then I took out my show boy Brittany and was brought back to earth as I remembered how easy showing Brice was compared to his brat of a brother!!

(I have the ultimate shame of a published critique, and I quote "wild and untrained" - but all the judges who meet my young Brit say I need to persevere and he at least now is consistently bringing home 1st places at Champ Shows.)

I hope Brice enjoys his show ..........

Yes good luck with the showing. How funny, I know a very large family here in Watford by the name Axtell, any relation?

I had to chuckle. Sorry. I always practise with Daisy and she can be a madam. Hubby takes Mack in the ring with no effort and he goes like a dream. Typical!

Thank you.

He had a lovely time and has come home with three rosettes .

Sadly my show boy Brittany was a tad handicapped as his large brother was in the group when Chase should have been getting settled so Chase was rushed from car to ring and only managed a 2nd in Open. But as Brice so enjoyed his day I don't really care.
