Well here's a couple of photos of team Cusidh relaxing after the Border Union show at Kelso yesterday. Unfortunately, this isn't the team Cusidh kennels but Floors Castle which is right next door to the show ground.

I would thoroughly recommend this show venue. You can park close to the rings. There's lots of room at the ringside to sit down and the rings are a really good size. Event the wet weather ring looked decent enough. Floors Castle has some lovely grounds to walk the hounds round and an excellent cafe (very good cakes - I sampled the cheesecake!). Walking along the Tweed is also good fun and that again is right next to the show ground.

Even the rain stayed away for most of the day.

Its my favourite venue too and I was disappointed not to be able to attend. We have walked along the Tweed before and also went to a wonderful Boot Sale in the middle of nowhere!
Love the pics the hounds just look like they belong. Do you mean to say Cusidh kennels are not like this!! Another dream shattered!!!

Beautiful setting and beautiful hounds, I hope you walked that cheesecake off after!

Congratulations also to all the winners and also to everyone who went, I hope it was a lovely day.

Certainly the ideal setting for Deerhounds.

The weather wasn't too brilliant on Saturday (Deerhounds stayed outside, though. We can take a wee drop of rain.) but it was excellent on the Sunday when I was stewarding Dobermanns in the sun. It was almost, but not quite, too hot for dogs. I didn't stay for the groups on Saturday, but I heard Sarah Helps's young lad Greyfriars Gille of Beardswood got a pull in the group. He's a brother of Claire and Elise's girls and a very decent fellow indeed.

Well, I wasn't going to say too much about that, but since you mention it...

I showed Sue's puppy Fluffy on Saturday. She danced, she leapt about six feet in the air, she twirled about on the end of her lead, she moved round the ring as though she was filled with kangaroo petrol and generally made a complete fool of me. It was a bravura performance, had the whole ringside in hysterics and I can't wait to show her again. I do love showing puppies.

Hehe sounds like a lot of fun. Need to get the pup with Elsie Gray for a "so you think you can Dance" play off Oh and that dancing dog from the Breed Show

Thanks for the compliments re Gille Sid. Pleased he did well.

Sid and Fluffy were also joined by me and Rashie who instead of the twirling motion was perfecting her head down and leg it motion - in a preferably out of the ring direction. I think we maybe collided with Sid at one point. Sorry about that Sid. The only saving grace was the brilliant behaviour of Truly Scrumptious (Rashie's sister). For future entertainment we'll be at Stafford. Elise
