I want to show Cyde in August at the Sighthound festival in Donaueschingen, Germany and I cannot find a good show leash.
Which leash would you recommend ? Thank you for some tips.

As you know there are so many on the market. It is really what you and the dog are comfortable with. I show Logan in a half checkleather collar and 3/8 wide leather lead. I prefer flat rather than rolled round leads.(I hope you know what I mean).Merlot gets shown in the same syle lead but made of lambs leather really soft (spoilt whippet)!! Good luck with your showing.

I just use a standard show slip leash. Again I prefer the flat leather ones rather than the rolled ones. Also if they can be a soft leather it's easier to roll it up and keep it out of the way whilst you are showing the dog. I use quite short leads again just to avoid having loads of excess lead to gather up or trip over.

Dog moda on the directory of this site have some different types of show leads available and I'm not sure if you'd have met him or not at deerhound shows but Toon (think I've got the spelling right) has some brilliant leads available. He's from Germany I think but comes over to the UK breedshows and crufts.

I'm pretty sure Toon is Dutch Elise. Toon does make really good quality leashes though.
We have four or five of his leashes for every day use.

Clyde, we use the same style of leash as Elise for showing although ours are longer and
narrower than Elise's.
