I've entered Tav and Dileas, but might not take them both. Tav's Gentiehun kids will be there along with Kevin and Sue Milne, and their smashing daughter Freya, who kept me company yesterday.

I'll be going with a friend to watch the show. I'll not be taking Ben though as I don't really show him and he'll just want to be off exploring everywhere after a short time once he gets bored. I'll look forward to seeing everyone and their dogs.

A full English or a double sausage and egg McMuffin, hash brown and a coffee might just see me there wifey !
Same for Mack and Daisy - with maple syrup

The boys just want their usual porridge with salt followed by a tablespoonful of cod liver oil.

We've got to tell the boys that they need to eat more healthily !

Yes dear.

There will be a good attendance at the hound show - 125 dogs with 139 entries.

Are non-entered dogs allowed to attend?

They are if you have entered them "not for competition" but this should be done before the closing date. Also dogs under 6 months can not attend a champion show.

We'll be there with Mallie, Orrin (her first show since babies) and the Darned Whippet.

Please, please, please don't let it rain. I much prefer to be outdoors and the Deerhound ring is in a beautiful spot if it stays dry.

I'd like to go but I don't really want to leave the dogs at home. I could combine it with a visit to my brother who lives in Stafford.

Hi Tracy, Just to confirm what MrsMc has said. You cannot take un-entered dogs into a showground and most definately not a puppy under 6 months of age. The only time an older dog can go into a show ground is if it has been entered as not for competion on the entry form and submitted to the show secretary with the appropriate fee.

Hope you can come to the show but you will need to leave the hounds with your brother if you can.

Well, it was wet today at the hound show! We started off in the wet weather ring, but the rain went off for a bit so we headed outside to the main ring no less. However, we finished off sheltering behind trees and in the band stand. Well done to Björn Fritz who did a great job and kept going through all the bad weather. Congratulations to everyone there, who I hope are now drying off, and apologies to MrsMc's husband who possibly needed surgery after an umbrella incident.

Here's a photo of Wallace's lovely dogs enjoying themselves today!

And if anyone has picked up my marked catalogue from in front of the band stand, I'd be very glad to have it back - I didn't realise it wasn't there until I got home about half an hour ago.
