Many thanks to all the "old hand" deerhound owners/breeders who were so very helpful and supportive to us today. We really enjoyed the experience and appreciated all the helpful hints and comments. Coming home with a Third was icing on the cake as we went for the experience and to see if Freya would take to showing. Thanks again and well done to all the winners, Ailish

Your first show, and now you're hooked! Delighted to hear that you and Freya enjoyed it - see you in the ring sometime.

Hi Crackadog
Freya was going very well. Sorry not to be able to say hello but this was my first time stewarding so took a bit of getting used to the system! A few mistakes later I'm now home recovering.

Congratulations to everyone. Here's a summary of the 1st place in each class.
Judge was Claire Churchill.

1st Puppy Dog/Bitch - Regalflight Kalifi of Gorsekree
1st Junior Dog/Bitch - Stainlonan Kulang of Penherald
1st Postgrad Dog/Bitch - Ghiltan Hero
1st Limit Dog/Bitch - Packway Aconcagua
1st Open Dog/Bitch - Regalflight Princequillo of Penherald
BOB - Regalflight Princequillo of Penherald
Res BOB - Packway Aconcagua
Best Puppy - Regalflight Kalifi of Gorsekree

Special mention also to Wallace's lovely whippet who was 2nd in Any Variety Sighthound Dog/Bitch.
Elise

It all seemed to run very smoothly Elise and we certainly didn't see any mistakes - too busy looking at the hounds! Didn't realise you were so close to us so perhaps we could meet up sometime for a hound walk. Ailish

Hi Ailish

We're based in Milton Keynes. Whereabouts are you? It took me just around the hour to get to the Wood Green venue so not bad at all. Would be lovely to meet up. Elise

Thanks to everyone we met for making us so welcome, great to meet some lovely people of here and soooo many lovely hounds, especially Elsie Grey, Lilly and the scrummy boy Merlot (i think he's done the trick Paul was talking whippet pups on the way home )

How is Elsie gray? Hope it was a simple strain and is now back to herslf. She is lovely and it was such a pity she had to withdraw mid flight, so to speak.

I love your comic strip style and all your lovely dogs. Mrs T looks as though she just heard a great joke.

Back on line at last lap top now mended!!

Thanks to everyone for a lovely day at Wood Green Show It was great to meet darling Freya, what a super pup.....so gentle and Very Cuddly
And to meet Mrs T at last.....what a beauty, such a lady

All of the Deerhound people are such a pleasure to spend time with & being surrounded by Deerhounds....what more could any one want!

Elsie Grey....bless her.... has recovered from a very nasty sliced tendon (very nasty vet bill too!) She was looking well and behaving!! But alas.... we got into the ring and she went Lame I felt awful....what a wicked mother..... of course she milked it for all it was worth..... and dragged her left hind leg around as if it did not belong to her..... gazing towards the public for the sympathy vote Needless to say, a quick exit was required!

She has been on rimadl, but not much improvement...not to sure what the problem is, as it is high up & hip is swinging slightly....but nothing to do with her foot& previous tendon problem! So back to the vets I think. Will also try to get her seen by animal chiropract. The good thing is she does not seem to be in pain, but is sulking as I wont let her run and play!

Hope to see you at LKA show, but that depends on Elsie Grey.

Once again, it was a lovely day, so thanks to every one
