Cusidh Coille Hallaig, born and bred in Fife Scotland by Claire Cartmell and me, has won Dog World's Top Deerhound Stud Dog 2009 based on progeny CC wins. He sired two litters both with Misty Lee who has won Dog World's Top Deerhound Brood Bitch 2009. Misty Lee was bred by Lee Jackson and lives in the West of Scotland with Joyce Miller.

Hallaig's son Greyfrairs Gille of Beardswood has then gone on to win Our Dog's Top Deerhound Sire based on progeny best puppy wins. Again Gille was born in Scotland and his daughter Rossyln Pippa of Beardswood bred by Brian Doak in Ireland has been awarded Top Deerhound Puppy 2009. Both Gille and Pippa are owned by Sarah and Heather Helps. Our Dogs Top Breeder was won by the Gentom kennels Tom and Jean Rhodes and grandson DJ - Congratulations everyone!

He's had somewhat of a low profile at the shows but hopefully we'll be able to take him to one or two veteran classes this year. It's just finding space for him in the van is tricky.
