TOPIC: Show at Ingliston today

Show at Ingliston today 2 years, 1 month ago #21957

I had a look at the showing today (show virgin )

If you were there and we spoke "Hello again" if we didn't speak "Sorry, I'm rubbish with faces and worse at putting names to them"

There were plenty hounds there, and all very nice. I spent my time cuddling my special hairy friends and trying to work out what the judge was looking for.

It was nice to see so many hounds enjoying themselves in the ring. Being new to this I was able to enjoy the view without any of the stress attached to being a handler. A few trade stands would have been nice, but all in all it was a good day. I forgot I had raffle tickets in my pocket so I'll have missed out on the big prize I'm sure I would have won

Thanks to Sid and Sue for the invite and thanks to Kevin for letting me indulge my love of Rannoch and Sheila.

I think Sid won the 'Look no hands' contest

Love it! That was me trying to adjust my coiffure (for want of a better term) so that I could actually see where I was going. That's Marjory's Midgie in the photograph - I had the fun job of showing her in veteran bitch, where she very nearly, but mercifully not quite, behaved as befits her years. She's still a hooligan at eight years old and long may she continue.

By the way, Brackenland Tan at Kilbourne, the Deerhound BOB, went RBIS - I had a text from Sue a few minutes ago. Nice win.

Well done to all the winners, and well done to Betina on gaining her boy's first CC.

Thankyou Wallace

Cscarf is now home, and is none the wiser and congratulations to Brackenland tan for going Reserve Best in show.

Its a lovely show , seeing all of the " Scottish breeds " in one place, dandies, Scotties, westies, gordon,s I love it! and am now thinking I need a dandie dinmont in my life again, when Studying at Bellmead Training school in the 1970,s they had some of the top Dandies, there so cute with the softest of expressions and I love trimming them, ( no doubt the desire will pass) I hope

And I thought it was because of the handsome Dandie Judge who was wearing his kilt
