Thanks Sid, what a poor turn out, this is usually a busy show?

It's because there are no CCs on offer, so it's essentially an expensive-to-enter open show. That said, there was no lack of quality present.

I had a lovely entry when I judged there a couple of years ago. Entries are down all round this year - I blame the recession.

I don’t disagree with your reasons Sid but add a couple more: there are a few people who have been regular exhibitors at Driffield over the last 10 years who no longer show, or have re located further away from the show making it no longer viable.
Also I suggest that the entry is better when there is a Breed Specialist judge rather than an “all-rounder”.
I had entered two myself but they are in season so I did not go
Seem to remember you were snogging with “Boo” when you judged there!

All good points, John. I remember when Driffield still had Deerhound tickets - there was always a good entry then. Shame they took them away. And as for Buachaille, he was having the most fun the year I judged - he was a delight to see (and cuddle!). I do like a Deerhound with a sense of humour.
