Went to Penrith & District Canine Society Open Show today. Merrick (aka Kwaricott Abdiel) won the 'Any Variety Dog - Open' class. He came 2nd in AV Hound and also AV Not Bred by Exhbitor. Four quid in prize money as well as a great day out. No other deerhounds entered but always nice to see lots of other breeds. The catering was outstanding - fab bacon butty for £1.00, lots of lovely homebakes too.

Congratulations - all the fun of the show and a bacon butty or twp for good measure! Well done to Merrick. We were meant to be at a show today (hound show of Scotland ) but Tulla had done something to her tail and also cut it next time maybe!!)
