I've entered Daisy for puppy class. She is still on the scrawny side from having enteritis but as it isn't too far I thought I would go for the practice at least, anything else is a bonus.

Not at Belper on Sunday but we are going to Lichfield tomorrow with just Mallie and
Charlottes' darned Whippet so better not stay on the community too late tonight.

Alan's handling tomorrow cos I still can't run. I had a practise on the landing tonight
and nearly fell over, my legs feel like jelly. God knows when I will get back in the show
ring. I was hoping my return was going to be at Crufts but I am beginning to have my doubts.

Sally maybe you need to try a treadmill to gain strength back in your legs...

Sam, do you think a treadmill would be better than ordinary walking? I am desperate to
be fit for Crufts. I have take up swimming and Charlotte and I go twice a week to try
and build up some strength in my legs.

Hi Lynne, not too good really, third with Mallie out five but a good strong class. Crystal Amethyst won the class and went B.O.B. I don't know how she did in the group. The Whippet, Ellie, was second in her class and came close to winning, but as the DH's were in the adjoining ring,Ellie started to play up as the judge was running No's one and two again to make a final decision so blew her chance. Good luck tomorrow.

Normal walking is good but with a treadmill it makes you push yourself a little harder. When just walking around you wouldn't be extending as much as on the tready.
Maybe when you are out walking (and nobodies looking) break into a slow jog and then walk, jog and then walk. That might help your legs get back into it. Just be careful not to reinjure yourself.

Thanks for asking Sally.

There were 6 down for puppy but only two entered on the day. Daisy was second. She was very good. Still giving out kisses to the judge which I will have to try and stop. As sweet as it is she will have to outgrow it. She just loves everyone. We saw Daisy's dad, aunty and half sister at the show and they all had the same lovely nature. I was very proud of her. It was lovely to meet Elvee and a few other lurkers on here that need to come out and play with the rest of us!!

We bombed.
4th out of 4!I definately need to slim Jess down.
Still,I had a lovely day.I took 3 pups to their new homes,3 to the same village in Derbyshire, and the lovely lady who took Wigster, met me at the show. That was nice, because she was able to meet Brodie too. Then it was really nice to go back to Glenis',and chat to MrsMc and others. Then I went to Mansfield and saw my sons, before the long journey home, luckily the snow didn't start till I was snuggled up with a glass of wine.

Well done Daisy at Belper and Elsie at Maidstone:P . What has happened to Jess, Lynne?
You'd slimmed her down beautifully last year. I was thinking of you travelling back
yesterday because I had seen the weather forcast and a news item on the amount of snow
that was expected in the north-east.
