Well Banrigh and I have been accepted to run at Crufts for the CaniX event. I think this could be the first Deerhound running at Crufts Canix. So if you want some light entertainment and are still at Crufts on Friday 6th March come along and watch the CaniX cross event.

It starts at 13.05 in the Main Arena. The first runners will then be back in under 10 mins as this is only a 2 km race (I'll be somewhat longer!). I'm not quite sure where the finish will be. However, the prize giving is then at 15.20 back again in the Main Arena.

Hettie my Lurcher is quite relieved as she said it was very hard work pulling me around the last CaniX event at Westonbirt last weekend. So she can't wait for Banrigh to take the strain!

Here's a picture of Hettie and I near the start of the 5 km race. We got back in 27 mins through the mud and the hills. Crufts I'm hoping will be somewhat easier!

Respect, Elise, and best of luck. I'll be lucky if I can hirple round the ring - I've had sciatica for the last month and it's driving me nuts!

Hi Elise, I would take another hound to run with you if you think they are holding you up & can’t complete the course in ten minutes LOL.
Hope you enjoy the run & good look for Crufts

Good luck Elise, rather you than me. I know how you feel Sid, I've got my Codydramol ready for tonight, tomorrow morning and to take with me. By hook or by crook I am going to run around that ring once and I don't care what it takes to do it. I will probably be crawling out after the class though.

Nice one Elise. Hope you had fun. I will be doing some more in the future, although I may start going out with a scooter to save my knees ! Look forward to seeing the video.

Lovely photographs. If I was thirty years younger, I'd be having a go at that myself; but alas increasing senility and a bad back militate against it.

My legs are way too short for all that! Maybe I should get one of those saddles we are always getting asked about!!!
